Cancellation & Refund Policy

Each guest house, boutique hotel, and private villa listed on DreamStay specifies its own cancellation window, which is clearly displayed on the checkout page prior to confirmation.

Our standard platform cancellation tiers are:

• Flexible Stays: Full 100% refund for cancellations made up to 72 hours before the scheduled check-in time. 50% refund between 72 hours and 24 hours. Non-refundable within 24 hours of check-in.
• Moderate Stays: Full 100% refund for cancellations made up to 5 days before check-in. Non-refundable thereafter.
• Non-Refundable Stays: No refunds are issued for cancellations at any time. These bookings often feature special discounted pricing.

Local guides prepare custom sightseeing routes and dedicate exclusive dates for booked clients. Our cancellation terms for tour guides are structured as follows:

• Cancellations > 48 Hours: Guests receive a full 100% refund of the daily guide rate.
• Cancellations < 48 Hours: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the tour date are non-refundable to compensate the local guide for lost booking opportunities.
• Weather Disruptions: If extreme weather or safety hazards prevent the tour from taking place, guests receive a full refund or free date rescheduling, subject to admin verification.

Standard vehicle rentals (sedans, SUVs, coaches) are subject to the following cancellation policy:

• Cancellations > 24 Hours: Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time receive a full 100% refund.
• Late Cancellations (< 24 Hours): Subject to a fee equal to 1 day's rental rate. The remaining balance will be refunded to the traveler's bank account.
• No-Show Policy: If the traveler fails to pick up the vehicle within 2 hours of the scheduled time without notice, the booking is treated as cancelled and is non-refundable.

Offroad 4x4 jeep excursions in regions like Naran, Hunza, and Skardu are highly weather-dependent. Special force majeure terms apply:

• Standard Cancellations: Free cancellation up to 24 hours prior to departure.
• Force Majeure & Road Closures: In the event of active landslides, heavy snowfall, glacier blocks, or official road closures (e.g. Babusar Pass, Saif-ul-Muluk track), guests are entitled to a full 100% refund or free date adjustment, regardless of the timeline.
• Driver Safety: Drivers reserve the right to cancel or halt trips if weather conditions pose immediate danger, in which case guests will receive a full refund for the uncompleted portion of the route.

To maintain marketplace trust, verified vendors (hotel owners, guides, drivers) must honor all confirmed bookings. If a vendor cancels a confirmed booking:

• The guest will be fully refunded instantly in PKR.
• The vendor will be subject to a platform cancellation penalty fee.
• Frequent vendor cancellations will result in lower listing search rankings, suspension of listing badges, or permanent account deactivation.

Affiliate partner commissions are strictly tied to completed checkouts:

• If a referred booking is cancelled and refunded, no affiliate commission is generated.
• Any pending commission listed on the Affiliate Ledger for a cancelled reservation will be automatically adjusted to Rs 0.00.
